About the role:

As Director Global Access Policy and Government Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping BioNTech's engagement with governments and policymakers to develop sustainable solutions for healthcare challenges. Your expertise will directly support the launch of our innovative oncology portfolio. You will collaborate across teams and regions, influencing healthcare policy while advancing BioNTech’s mission. The role will be preferably based out of our London office.

Your Contribution:

Develop and implement policy and government affairs strategies in BioNTech's priority markets, with specific focus on France, Italy, and Spain.

Monitor healthcare policy trends and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks.

Collaborate with country teams to establish networks of external stakeholders for advocacy efforts.

Represent BioNTech in industry associations and public forums to promote access to healthcare innovation.

Partner with cross-functional colleagues to integrate policy considerations into R&D and regulatory strategies.

Build relationships with government officials, advocacy organizations, and thought leaders to advance policy priorities.

A Good Match:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

8+ years experience in healthcare policy, government affairs roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.

Deep understanding of EU4 healthcare systems, (specifically Spain, Italy and France), HTA processes, reimbursement models, and regulatory frameworks.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to interpret complex policy data effectively.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.

Proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments; willingness to travel up to 30%.
