We are looking for a Digital Technology Lead Commercial Analytics who is strategic, collaborative, and data-driven to join our Data Foundation & Artificial Intelligence team, based in our HQ office in Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will play a key role in shaping how data supports business decisions across Medical, Marketing, Commercial, and Omnichannel functions. You will lead strategic data, insights and reporting initiatives, drive technology modernization programs, and identify innovative opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence for improved business insights.
You will work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions while ensuring that critical data platforms continue to evolve and deliver value.
Who you'll work with
You will be working in a team that supports global business functions across Medical, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and Operational Excellence (I2I). You will collaborate closely with business leaders, data specialists, technology teams, external partners, and the Analytics Center of Excellence to develop and deliver impactful reporting and analytics solutions.
You will also lead and coordinate a team of external consultants and contractors, ensuring successful project delivery while fostering strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.
What you'll do
Lead strategic data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology capabilities, and long-term data transformation goals
Manage a team of approximately 10-15 external consultants and contractors, providing direction, prioritization, and oversight across multiple projects
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs and translate them into effective data and technology solutions
Oversee major transformation programs, including reporting platform modernization and enterprise data migration projects
Drive the adoption of modern analytics technologies, including cloud-based data platforms and Artificial Intelligence-enabled reporting capabilities
Manage project roadmaps, budgets, vendors, governance processes, and delivery plans to ensure initiatives are completed successfully
Collaborate with technology and data teams to maintain reliable, compliant, and scalable analytics environments
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry supporting commercial, medical, marketing, or customer engagement functions
Strong knowledge of modern data and reporting platforms, including Snowflake and Microsoft Power BI
Experience managing complex projects, budgets, vendors, and multiple stakeholders in a global environment
Proven ability to lead and coordinate external teams of consultants, developers, business analysts, or project managers
Familiarity with Information Technology service management practices and data governance principles
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical audiences
