About the job

As Digital M&S Insulin Cluster Leader (all genders), you hold strategic and operational digital accountability for Sanofi's insulin manufacturing sites, Frankfurt (primary) and Orel (secondary). You will simultaneously shape the long-term digital vision and ensure day-to-day excellence of all digital operations. You are the key bridge between Digital site operations and Sanofi's global digital teams.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Own the digital roadmap for Frankfurt and Orel, aligned with Sanofi's global M&S digital strategy

Identify and deliver digital value creation opportunities across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain

Drive digital adoption and culture change; represent site interests in global governance forums

Digital Operations

Ensure performance, availability, and reliability of all digital systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, historians)

Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and GxP compliance across both sites

Define and monitor KPIs for digital performance; coordinate with global teams on deployments and issue resolution

Stakeholder & Global Collaboration

Act as primary digital interface between sites and Sanofi's global digital organization

Co-develop and scale innovative solutions with the Digital M&S Product Lines & Accelerator and global M&S teams

Communicate digital strategy and progress clearly to all levels, from shop floor to senior leadership

Team Leadership

Lead and develop the site digital team; manage vendor relationships

Build digital capabilities across the broader site organization

 

About you

Experience & Education

10+ years in digital/IT roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated industries

5+ years in leadership, with proven strategic planning and operational execution

Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field *(Master's/MBA preferred)*

Solid GMP knowledge; hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, ERP, and OT/IT systems

Knowledge of insulin or biologics manufacturing is a plus

Technical Skills

Industry 4.0: IoT, AI/ML, digital twins, advanced analytics, cloud platforms

Cybersecurity and infrastructure frameworks

GxP computer system validation (CSV); agile/DevOps methodologies

Leadership & Personal Attributes

Strategic thinker who translates vision into actionable roadmaps

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels

Proven change leader in complex, matrixed manufacturing environments

Entrepreneurial, collaborative, patient-focused, and compliance-driven

Fluent in German and in English

The salary range for this position is :€113.760,00 - €151.680 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
