Diagnostics Strategy & Planning

Translate cross-therapy diagnostics strategy into actionable plans tailored to assigned therapeutic area(s)

Define priorities, resource allocation, and roadmap to enhance patient identification and diagnostic performance

Ensure alignment with broader medical and business strategies

Cross-functional Leadership & Execution

Lead diagnostics initiatives across Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and R&D teams

Drive alignment and coordination to ensure effective implementation of diagnostics plans

Identify opportunities to integrate diagnostics into broader brand and access strategies

Testing Pathway Optimization (System Level)

Analyze diagnostic landscape and identify systemic barriers affecting testing access and efficiency

Design and implement scalable solutions to improve testing pathways across institutions and networks

Collaborate with external stakeholders (labs, diagnostic companies, healthcare systems) to strengthen ecosystem performance

Insight Integration & Performance Management

Aggregate and synthesize insights from field (DSLs), external stakeholders, and data sources

Monitor performance metrics and evaluate impact of diagnostics initiatives

Translate insights into strategic recommendations and continuous improvement actions

Evidence Generation & Strategic Impact

Lead or support evidence generation initiatives (e.g., real-world data, publications, best practices)

Contribute to shaping clinical practice and adoption of biomarker-driven approaches

Support internal decision-making by linking diagnostics strategy to patient outcomes and business impact

Qualifications

Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field (MSc/BSc or equivalent)

5+ years of experience in diagnostics or project roles related to biomarker testing, including CDx testing within the relevant therapeutic area(s)

Strong understanding of biomarker-driven diagnostics and their clinical application

Familiarity with biomarker discovery, validation, and application along with knowledge of current and diagnostic technologies, such as PCR, next-generation sequencing, immunoassays, and imaging methods.

Understand personalized and precision medicine, especially in relation to how diagnostics guide therapeutic choices.

Additional knowledge including digital health, artificial intelligence in diagnostics, and integration with electronic health records is preferred.

Proven therapy-specific and technology implementation experience.

Strong operational, cross-functional, and innovation track record.

Well-versed in therapy area diagnostic platforms, workflows, and emerging trends.

Essential

- Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field (MSc preferred)

- 5+ years of experience in diagnostics or project roles related to biomarker testing, including CDx testing within the relevant therapeutic area(s)

- Proven experience in strategy development, project leadership, or cross-functional initiatives

- Strong understanding of biomarker-driven diagnostics and patient identification pathways

Desirable

- Experience in oncology diagnostics

- Exposure to rare disease or complex diagnostic pathways

- Experience in evidence generation or healthcare system projects

- Additional knowledge including digital health, artificial intelligence in diagnostics, and integration with electronic health records is preferred.
