About this opportunity

Field-based position responsible for implementation of activities for establishment of scientific leadership of AstraZeneca. This includes development and enhancement of professional relationships with healthcare professionals, building deep scientific understanding of AstraZeneca compound related testing. Driving positive opinions for the scientific and clinical value of AZ compounds and compound-related testing for patients’ needs. Deliver medical education and clinical support to medical professionals, training sales teams and involvement in development of brand strategy. The position may also be involved in review of product materials and response to medical queries.

Proactively identify HCPs with high levels of scientific expertise in local treatment practice and collaborate on specific medical activities

Development and implementation of KEE engagement plan in collaboration with Dx lead and TA medical team. Develop KEE visit plan with clear objective of the visit, key points discussion for the visit, data to be shared and discussed with the KEE.

Develop own scientific knowledge for discussion on all aspects of the data to be shared with KEE in a scientific, objective and balanced way through 1:1 discussion. Respond to unsolicited medical inquiry to AZ products-related testing, presenting such information in an objective, scientifically balanced, substantiated manner.

Provide scientific updates and information to KEEs and identify the relevance of the data to the scientific community and medical strategy with timely sharing with cross-functional teams.

Build AZ relationships and collaborate with key external stakeholders. Act as scientific expert in the disease area(s) by presenting therapeutic updates to HCPs.

Work with HCPs in scientific activities that help to advance AZ-related testing understanding in alignment with medical strategy.

Essential

Bachelor’s Degree in life-science related field

Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally

Scientifically knowledgeable with clinical interpretation capability

Ability to communicate science to different levels of stakeholders

Proficiency in English communication

Desirable

Over 2 years of experience in laboratory, scientific research, or pharmaceutical industry

Master’s degree or above is preferred

Understanding of therapeutic area related to AZ’s products

Knowledge of industry and regulatory compliance guidelines
