Life Science Communications Business Partner

Location: Bangalore or Mumbai, India

Your Role

As a Communications Business Partner for Life Science in India, you will be at the heart of shaping how a global science and technology company tells its story building brand presence, driving employee engagement, and amplifying impact across one of the most dynamic markets in the world. Reporting to the Head of Life Science Communications for APAC, you will own the end-to-end communications agenda for India, translating regional and global strategy into compelling, locally resonant narratives. You will design and execute integrated communications programs spanning external brand positioning, internal engagement, and social media working across functions and with regional peers to ensure consistency, creativity, and measurable impact. In this role, you will serve as the go-to communications expert for India, advising internal stakeholders, leading content creation, and acting as a center of excellence for digital and social media best practices. Your work will directly influence how the Life Science business is perceived by customers, partners, employees, and the broader scientific community in India.

Who You Are

You hold a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field or bring equivalent professional experience in a corporate communications role.

You bring substantial experience (typically 5+ years) in a communications, public relations, or brand management role, ideally within a multinational or science-driven organization.

You have a proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel communications strategies including external PR, internal communications, and social media with measurable outcomes.

You are a skilled content creator with the ability to translate complex scientific or business topics into clear, engaging narratives for diverse audiences across digital, video, and written formats.

You have strong expertise in social media strategy and digital brand management, including platform governance, tone of voice, and reputation management.

You are a confident communicator and trusted advisor, able to build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders, regional teams, and external partners.

You demonstrate AI literacy - an understanding of how artificial intelligence tools work, their practical applications in communications workflows, and the ethical considerations (including bias, privacy, and governance) needed to make informed, responsible decisions when leveraging AI in your role.
