Business Officer

Position Title : Business Officer

Location : Andheri Territory, Mumbai ( Preferred : Experience in Dermatology / Multi-Therapy )

Position Purpose

The Medical Representative is responsible for:

Promoting Bayer products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and other relevant target groups to achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned products within the allocated territory.

Executing Customer Engagement Excellence by conducting effective in-clinic promotions through Patient Focused Interactions (PFI) and implementing off-clinic promotional activities to strengthen customer relationships.

Ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, company policies, and the Bayer Code of Conduct.

Driving business growth through effective territory management, scientific engagement, and distributor management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Achieve sales, volume, growth, market share, and product listing targets for assigned brands.

Develop and execute territory business plans to maximize product reach and customer engagement.

Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business expansion initiatives.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

Plan, orchestrate, and execute HCP engagements aligned with MCCP strategies through tailored Patient Focused Interactions using relevant scientific content based on customer needs and priorities.

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

Organize and conduct scientific meetings, CMEs, and product awareness programs in line with marketing strategies.

CRM & Reporting

Accurately report customer engagement activities in Veeva CRM.

Utilize available CRM functionalities to enhance customer interactions and improve customer experience.

Maintain updated records and provide regular territory performance reports.

Market Intelligence

Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.

Communicate insights and competitive intelligence to Field Sales Managers and Management to support business decisions and strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to provide feedback on MCCP strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities.

Support the implementation of marketing initiatives and identify potential growth opportunities within the territory.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to local regulations, industry guidelines, company policies, and ethical standards.

Maintain professional conduct and compliance in all customer interactions and business activities.

Distribution Management

Collect and review Secondary Sales Reports (SSRs).

Monitor and analyze Primary vs. Secondary Sales performance.

Coordinate order collection from distributors.

Ensure adherence to the Sales Credit Policy.

Drive phased distribution of orders to achieve at least 40% of monthly targets by the 15th of each month.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Advanced qualifications will be an added advantage.

Minimum 2-3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a proven performance track record.

Experience in Dermatology or Multi-Therapy segment is mandatory.

Experience handling the Andheri territory or strong market knowledge of the Andheri healthcare ecosystem is preferred.

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, customer engagement, and territory management.

Required Skills & Competencies

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Strong presentation and scientific discussion capabilities.

Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

IT literacy with proficiency in using CRM tools, tablets, computers, and related technology.

Excellent command of local language (verbal and written).

Good English communication skills will be an advantage.

Energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, organized, and willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills with a results-oriented mindset.
