Position Summary
The LFI Associate, Lilly Field Institute, Internal Trainer is responsible for delivering new learner training and development as part of the national Sales Training Program. This Associate is also responsible for partnering with brand team’s selling capability leads to pull through key learnings and brand updates into all levels of training; Foundational, Advanced, Immersive, and on-boarding program training materials. They are also expected to partner across LFI to consistently innovate to enhance new learner training, initiatives, and capabilities and across therapeutic areas through multiple cross-functional workstreams and projects. This role supports Cardiometabolic Health in delivering a minimum of 11 sales training classes per calendar year and reports directly to the CMH M3 leader within LFI.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
LFI Collaboration & Pull-Through
Partner with LFI colleagues across coaching, learning design, and digital innovation to leverage synergies, reduce siloed rebuilding, and maintain consistency across the LVA training population
Integrate AI and digital tools into training so field teams can use technology as a competitive advantage (e.g. AI Avatar)
Stay current on emerging learning technologies and market access trends; bring relevant innovations back into capability design
New Learner Training:
Continuously refine the ongoing training curriculum based on field feedback, performance data, and evolving business priorities
Onboard new-to-role learners, providing comprehensive disease state, marketplace, and product knowledge specific as well as core-training curriculum
Lead Foundational and Immersive new learner training classes (virtually and live)
Build and continuously update Foundational and Immersive workshops to ensure relevance to evolving business needs
Provide hands-on support to New Learners throughout onboarding process and across levels of training
Design, develop, and deliver learning solutions utilizing the LFI learning model of “Learn, Observe, Apply, Review.”
Product Launch & Ongoing Support
Partner with LFI selling capability leads to integrate training design into New Learner Training during brand launches, including needs assessments, content development, live and virtual meeting preparation, and capability pull-through
Support ongoing product needs including label changes, data disclosures, and NILEX updates; maintain and leverage the Lilly Learning Lab for relevant content
Provide subject matter expertise on relevant disease state, brands, and selling capabilities into training facilitation.
Adhere to Training Protocol
Partner across LFI to develop, lead and ensure the field partners follows qualification strategy including: Knowledge Assessments, Post Tests, FIT Qualifications
Follow all required steps per the Product Qualification Procedure to become fully qualified to promote on products and/or indications assigned to you in your LFI role. This includes taking and passing all modules, post-tests, Knowledge Assignment (KAs) exams, and First Interaction Tests (FITs).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
Legally authorized to work in the United States (Lilly does not anticipate providing visa sponsorship for this role)
Preferences
Sales and/or sales training with a track record of success and high accomplishment
Deep disease state and product knowledge, experience in relevant therapeutic area a plus
Strong facilitation skills and/or experience in learning strategy and developing strategic training plans
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build trust across cross-functional partners without direct authority
Strong project and program management skills; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex topics for a field audience
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-evolving business environment
High learning agility and strong organizational skills
Comfort with AI tools and digital learning technologies
Demonstrated collaboration skills including active listening, seeking to understand diverse perspectives, and influencing to drive aligned decisions
Collaborative, inclusive mindset; High level of emotional intelligence enabling the ability to adapt and connect to multiple personalities and workstyles

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$58,500 - $137,500
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
