Job Description

This is our MD Fill, A1 Shift - 6am-6:30pm Sunday/Monday/Tuesday & every other Wednesday

Responsible for the daily supervision of production activities and training of operating personnel. Can direct a shift of operators in the overall functionality of departmental processes. Sets the example and holds operators accountable to follow all safety, quality, environmental, operational and personnel expectations. Monitors Production process & schedule and alerts site management of any potential events that could impact personnel safety, product quality or production schedule.

Responsibilities

Oversees all critical tasks on the floor as they are carried out and provides training and troubleshooting where needed

Develops, maintains, audits and verifies the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Training SOPs and Training Programs.

Analyzes equipment performance for potential maintenance issues. Anticipates issues with manufacturing productivity and works to resolve alarm issues and equipment failures.

Leads and organizes operators in solving non-conforming events. Recommends and leads corrective actions on manufacturing processes and procedures.

Provides verbal input to Operations Manager for written employee evaluations and performance reviews once a year.

Provide support to quality compliance and EHS audits as the subject matter expert in terms execution of Operations procedures/responsibilities

Interacts with site EHS Specialist and drives safety programs with operational personnel. Performs routine safety audits and Gemba walks to ensure compliance with programs. Elevates all operational events and issues with site management.

Interacts frequently with Maintenance department to coordinate required PM activities on Operations equipment

Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate re-orders/receiving with purchasing personnel

Audit responsibility

Qualifications

High School diploma required.

Must have strong technical knowledge and safety background

6+ years of manufacturing experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical, plant environment

Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of plant GMP and EHS systems

Must have a comprehensive understanding of plant economics to make decisions aimed at efficiency and reliability.

General computer knowledge (i.e. Microsoft Office, Email, etc.). Proficient use of manufacturing monitoring systems to track and trend data critical to processes (i.e. PI, DCS, etc.)

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately  pay more or less than the posted range.
