【Alexion Japan】Associate Director, ATTR Marketing
About this opportunity
This is what you will do:
Associate Director, ATTR Marketing will prepare ALXN 2060 (acoramidis) for launch in transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). S/he will develop marketing and go-to-market strategies to ensure successful commercialization. This individual will be responsible for execution of commercial launch tactics in close collaboration with Sales and other members of the business unit. The role requires partnerships with other functions including Medical and Commercial Excellence. S/he reports into Sales and Marketing Director, ATTR Amyloidosis.
You will be responsible for: Strategy Development – Work cross-functionally to develop ATTR disease area and ALXN 2060 asset strategies. Champion the brand and rally the organization behind launch strategy.
Launch Planning & Execution – Lead the development of detailed commercial launch tactics. Ensure flawless launch execution across Sales and Marketing to achieve revenue targets.
Brand Management – Manage all aspects of branded communication including positioning, messaging, and channel mix. Define HCP segments and target prioritization. Lead marketing programs from design to execution.
Customer Engagement – Engage key customers for insights, speaking engagements, and other commercial initiatives in collaboration with Thought Leader Liaison teams.
Performance Analytics – Define relevant leading and lagging performance indicators. Evaluate ongoing performance and brand health. Understand market and customer dynamics behind the performance to guide the brand.
You will need to have: ≥5 years of biopharmaceutical marketing experience in Japan
Prior launch experience in rare disease and/or specialty care
Deep understanding of marketing discipline from strategic and operational perspectives
Experience in sales and/or other direct customer-facing roles
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and mobilize the field sales organization to achieve brand objectives
Ability to translate patient needs and scientific data into commercial strategy
Ability to guide market research projects to enable commercial decisions
Ability to collaborate broadly and cross-functionally
Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
Comfort with change and ambiguity
Strong engagement, communication, and relational skills
Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
Fluency in Japanese, proficiency in English
Bachelor’s degree in science or other relevant areas
We would prefer for you to have: Experience working in alliance partnership(s)
Prior experience and customer relationships in Cardiology
Fluency in English
Advanced degree in business and/or science (e.g. MBA, MS)
