Job Description

We are building a team that develops AI agents to solve real security problems -- detection, triage, response, risk assessment, and policy enforcement. This is a hands-on engineering role. You will design, build, test, and ship agentic AI systems that operate within our security stack.

You will work alongside senior engineers and researchers who are pushing the boundaries of what autonomous systems can do in cybersecurity. You will contribute production code from day one while developing deep expertise in both AI/ML and security operations.

Responsibilities:

Build and deploy AI agents that automate security workflows -- threat detection, alert triage, incident response, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring

Integrate large language models and other AI/ML capabilities with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, cloud security platforms)

Develop and maintain agent orchestration pipelines, including prompt engineering, tool integration, and evaluation frameworks

Write Python (primarily) to build, test, and iterate on agent systems

Instrument agents with logging, monitoring, and metrics to measure effectiveness against security operations KPIs

Participate in adversarial testing of agent systems -- identify failure modes, edge cases, and security vulnerabilities in agent behavior

Collaborate with senior ICs to translate research concepts into production-ready systems

Contribute to agentic AI security policy, standards, and technical guidance -- informed by what you learn building and running these systems

Help shape best practices for safe and effective use of AI agents in security operations

Contribute to security position papers on emerging technologies -- high-level strategic documents that frame organizational thinking and drive downstream policy and technical guidance

Contribute to the AI Cybersecurity Maturity program across domains including application security, training, AI controls and infrastructure, AI discovery and inventory, operations and incident response, and policy and procedure development

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 7 years’ experience; or Master’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; or PhD with 2 years’ experience.

Experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, or a closely related field

Strong Python skills - you can build, debug, and ship production systems

Hands-on experience with at least one area of security operation: threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, cloud security, or application security

Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Aider, or similar) as part of your daily development workflow - we expect you to build with agents, not just build agents

Working knowledge of LLMs and AI/ML concepts -- you have built something with them, not just read about them

Experience integrating APIs and building data pipelines

Familiarity with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, cloud security tools)

Experience building AI agents or automation systems - you have shipped something, not just experimented

Ability to work independently on well-scoped problems and collaboratively on ambiguous ones

Preferred:

Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks and concepts (LangChain, AutoGen, custom frameworks)

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI/ML services

Background in threat intelligence, detection engineering, or security automation (SOAR, playbooks)

Exposure to adversarial testing or red teaming of AI systems

Interest in or experience contributing to security policy, standards, or technical guidance

Master’s in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
