The Position

We are looking for you to join Roche and our Services & Solutions Center in Budapest.

We offer a flexible working framework (2 office day/week on average).

What we do:

The Record to Report Department, often abbreviated as R2R department provides financial services for more than 130 affiliates in the EMEA region. Our main areas covered are: Finance and Accounting (General Ledger Accounting, Management Accounting) and Supply Chain Finance. The department is constantly expanding since our main goal is to perform end-to-end accounting activities in the near future.

Your day to day responsibilities are:

As an Accounting Intern you will execute the day-to-day activities according to the agreed service level.

As a qualified expert, you:

Process General Ledger bookings (and any other local request)

Clear customer and GL accounts

Contribute to month-end closing tasks

Provide help of other team members in need of assistance due to workload

Assist in investigating account discrepancies involving inventory, variances, and allowances

Gain practical, real-world exposure to enterprise-level financial systems within a shared services environment

We are looking for someone who is self motivated, really passionate about his or her job and understands that providing a high-quality service is crucial for the organization. As an ideal team member you are open-minded, dedicated to make a difference and open to constant development. Furthermore, you have:

Ongoing university studies in the field of Economics - specialized in Accounting

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Available for 25-30 hours per week

Customer focused mindset

Proactive mindset

Proficiency in English

A solid academic foundation in accounting and finance principles (GAAP or IFRS)

Proficient with spreadsheet applications and standard office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, G-Suite)

Bonus Points: Prior exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP modules like FI, CO/PA, MM, PP) or financial close software
