Your Role:
Understand customer processes like vaccine development/manufacturing and mAb production.
Identify customer pain points and work toward solutions from Merck KGaA offerings.
Develop and execute short-term and long-term Key Account strategies; responsible for achieving assigned sales goals.
Develop Key Account management plans and coordinate activities with the Support Group.
Analyze accounts and various departments to identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the seeded base, including customer projects.
Engage with customers to build and maintain relationships.
Assess customer needs and identify opportunities to grow presence in the account.
Communicate value propositions and educate customers on new products and innovative technology.
Develop quotes and negotiate with the customer.
Manage the end-to-end sales process for assigned products, ensuring buy-in across all relevant customer stakeholders.
Resolve customer issues.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape within Key Accounts.
Maintain technical knowledge in the assigned product group or area of science.
Build business acumen and selling skills, including problem solving, negotiation, and relationship management.
Input customer information and opportunities into the CRM system.
Develop and maintain a short- and long-term opportunity growth pipeline.
Generate leads from existing and new accounts for assigned products and those outside the assigned portfolio.
Manage Key customer accounts with full accountability for delivering world-
class customer satisfaction.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or equivalent).
Experience: 10+ years.
Advanced degree or certification in sales, account management, or a life sciences discipline (e.g., MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
