Your role:
We are looking for a field-based Key Account Manager to grow and develop sales across our Discovery Solutions (Biology & Chemistry) portfolio within key accounts predominantly in the Midlands region of the UK. We also have an upcoming requirement for a candidate servicing the Manchester area, so please feel free to apply if based in the North-West.
In this role, you will build strong relationships with customers, identify high-impact opportunities and deliver sustainable business growth. You will act as the primary point of contact for a range of stakeholders both inside and outside the laboratory, such as Lab Managers & Technicians, QC Analysts, Research Scientists and Procurement, Logistics & Sustainability Teams.
Using your scientific knowledge and consultative selling skills, you will provide customer-oriented solutions, helping customers achieve their goals whilst supporting end-users every step of the way. You will coordinate support across field and office-based specialist teams and use available tools & resources to track activity, share account knowledge, manage account plans & build pipelines. Importantly, you will deliver against quarterly and annual growth targets.
This role is well suited to someone who is customer orientated and is motivated to act as the owner in driving both customer success and commercial results.
Who you are:
A scientific degree or equivalent experience, with knowledge of relevant laboratory techniques.
Previous Field Sales experience in a similar industry, with strong consultative selling skills.
Strong account planning, pipeline management and commercial awareness.
Excellent communication, inter-personal and presentation skills.
A self-starting, pro-active approach.
Flexibility, with both strong personal accountability and the ability to work collaboratively.
